Did you hear the sweet news from the Crown Dental team? This year, for the first time ever, we are participating in a Halloween Candy Buyback Event. 

We officially kicked off the festivities on Monday, November 4th and decided to extend the fun to Tuesday and Thursday. Stop by during normal business hours, from 9am – 6pm, to participate. Simply bring in any excess or unwanted Halloween candy and we will “buy” it back. 

Why Will We Buy Back Halloween Candy?

You’re probably wondering, what do we want with unwanted candy? The goal of the Halloween Candy Buyback event is to collect and send all extra Halloween candy to the deployed U.S. troops. This event is co-sponsored by Operation Shoebox and Move America Forward. 

How Does it Work? 

We realize the idea of parting with candy of any kind is probably a tough sell for sugar-crazed children, so we’ve created a way to sweeten the deal, so to speak. 

Just bring in your excess or unwanted candy, whether from Halloween or otherwise, and we’ll trade you a toothbrush goodie bag and your choice of a plush Beanie Baby! We will also be serving cider and apples. All candy collected during this event will then be sent off to our deployed military troops, who could definitely use a treat or two. Talk about a win-win!

Whether your child hates Almond Joys, collected way too many treats (or maybe you just don’t want the temptation sitting around your home), Crown Dental is proud to partner with the Halloween Candy Buyback program to “buy” back your excess or unwanted candy.

What Kind of Candy Should You Bring to the Buyback Event?

We’re not picky, as you’ll see from the following requirements:

• Any unopened candy will do!
• Bring candy that you feel is in excess for yourself or your children.
• If your children are candy connoisseurs (and aren’t they all?) bring the candy varieties they just can’t stomach!
• Dental conscious? Remember that some of the candies that wreak havoc on dental work are gummy candies like Tootsie Rolls, Laffy Taffy, Nerds Rope, Now and Laters, caramels, and Starbursts. Bring those in and we’ll ship them off!
